my tattoos |
I had my first, second, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth tattoos done at the Black Dragon in downtown Waukesha. Came highly recommended and rightly so. There are some cool guys working there - very professional and awesome work. |
I wanted the tat to be something wicked cool and you can't exactly see the detail, but I *LOVED* the snake's eyes and whole expression. And nothing was lost in the transfer from paper to skin. He's still deadly awesome. I think the colors turned out totally cool, too. Done by Jack at Black Dragon. |

My second tattoo was a sketch from one of my mom's old boyfriends. I've loved it for years. I only wanted the outline - no colors. It was permanently etched on my left hip on November 2, 2000. VERY cool that it could be done same size. It's really beautiful. Done by Jack at Black Dragon. |
My third tattoo was done at the same time as my sister's 3rd one (the end of April 2002). And she wanted to go to her tattoo artist - Gothic Body in Mukwonago. I'm not sure if I'd go back. They were VERY nice and they did a decent job, but I like my shop better. I was more at ease there. Gothic Body was a little preppy for me. I LOVE the colors though!! Done by John at Gothic Body. |

My fourth tattoo. No, people, it doesn't stop. Because I can already think of the many, many more that I want - no, NEED!! It's *surprise* a snake! I went back to Black Dragon - but didn't get the same artist - for this one. It was done February 11, 2003, courtesy of my work's bonus check. I'm sure my boss is regretting the idea of bonus checks for us. :) He wanted to know when the tattooing is going to stop for me. Done by Skully at Black Dragon. |
My fifth tattoo (notice, I don't say final or last) is killer. My skull. I've had this thing, obsession if you will, with skulls for a good 10-15 years now. When I went in for the snake, I got Skully for a tattoo artist. Sign? I think so. He told me to come back when I wanted a skull, and I did just that on November 15, 2003, once again courtesy of my bonus check. Loosely based on a skull in a picture I had done in 9th grade, I told him to make it cool. He came back with a pirate, and we both agreed to lose the eye patch. My first experience with a large patch of color (red, no less) produced a wickedly hideous scab that grossed out a ton of people. :) I don't know how I'm going to top this one. My sixth tattoo. How do we top this one? Oh, it's a snake! I went back to Black Dragon and let Skully have fun designing this one. He actually took a red pen and went to work on it. It was done January 30, 2005, once again courtesy of my work's bonus check. And then I came in again at the end of February for him to finish it. It took forever but it looks SO awesome. I slept ever so carefully on it that first night only to wake up with my husband lying on my arm. Done by Skully at Black Dragon. |
The one that generates a LOT of conversation mostly from people who don't even like tattoos. The watch tells the time I was born. It's so nice to be able to walk into the shop and tell someone, I want a watch. And that's it. He draws it all up, and I go in and get it done February 2006. Done by Skully at Black Dragon. |

My eighth tattoo. I'm not gonna lie. I was surfing over Skully's website, and I saw this TOTALLY awesome butterfly. I'm in love with the monarch. And that's when I knew it would be my next tattoo. Done December 13, 2006, it's placed about an inch above my scar on my chest near my left shoulder. BEAUTIFUL!! Done by Skully at Black Dragon. |
